Biswajit Pal is a seasoned AI leader with 19 years of experience across Data Science, Data Engineering, Product development, and Consulting, primarily in the Retail & CPG sector. He currently serves as Director of Data Science at Kenvue (erstwhile Consumer Health division of Johnson & Johnson), where he leads AI and Genai initiatives and co-lead innovation charter at the GCC level.
Previously, Biswajit headed Data Engineering, Analytics, and Insights at Tata CliQ, and led Data Science teams at Walmart International, focusing on pricing, promotions, customer insights, and personalization. Prior to that, he worked in organizations like Tata Consultancy Services, Western Union, HP, Target, and GE Capital, where he was responsible for developing ML solutions for the respective businesses.
He is a recipient of multiple industry awards, holds 4 AI patents in merchandising and customer analytics, and is a guest lecturer at the Thunderbird School of Management, University of Arizona.
Biswajit holds a Master’s degree in Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT Bombay and is based out of Bangalore, India
